The Art of Hospitality
At Casa Turquesa we take an artful approach to hospitality, not just in the way we have designed our hotel and pamper our guests, but in the ambiance as well.
The owners of Casa Turquesa are true art lovers and as a result have created a space at this ocean front boutique hotel where guests will find stories to tell around each little corner embodied in artwork, murals, sculptures, and paintings.

Here is a sampling of some of the art pieces you will find at Casa Turquesa:
- Mural Los Frutos de la Tierra (Giving Land) is the artists interpretation of introducing us to the Mayan world and the giving land that Mexico shares with the world. Artist: Rina Lazo (Guatemala), a disciple of Diego Rivera and Arturo Garcia Bustos, Frida Kahlo contributor (Mexico).
- Mural Xtabay takes place in a Mayan village in the Yucatan and depicts the story of two women, one a good and pure person, the other a mean sinner. This represents the temptation and the natural landscape of ancient lands. Artist: Rafael Aguirre.
- Sculpture Historia de Kanaac is a bronze sculpture of a woman dying in her lovers arms. Artist: Gabriel Ponzanelli.
- Sculpture Lovers at the Reef this bronze sculpture shows three women and lovers dancing on the reef. Artist: Bravo.
We hope you will enjoy the artwork at the hotel as much as we do, and if you have any questions about any of the pieces, please do not hesitate to inquire with our staff.
